City AcupunctureDr Richard Halvorsen established the City Acupuncture Clinic in 2006 to offer the highest quality acupuncture to those working or living in or near the City of London.
City Acupuncture is part of the Broadgate Spine Centre where Richard works alongside physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors in addition to rheumatology and neurology consultants and orthopaedic surgeons.
The Broadgate Clinics, in London Wall, also comprise a GP and other therapists and is a truly unique specialist multidisciplinary practice.
Dr Richard HalvorsenRichard qualified in medicine at The Middlesex Hospital, London, in 1982. Soon after graduating Richard studied acupuncture for two years at the British College of Acupuncture in London following which he was award a Licentiate in Acupuncture. He has since studied both traditional Chinese and Western medical acupuncture in China and the UK and has now been practicing acupuncture for nearly 30 years.
Richard worked as a GP in central London for over 20 year where he integrated acupuncture, and other complementary therapies, into orthodox general medical practice.
In 2009 Richard left the NHS to concentrate on his work in the private sector. He is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society and holds a Diploma in Medical Acupuncture.
